If you're unsure whether hypnotherapy is right for your child, please get in touch. I'm always happy to discuss your concerns.

What happens during the first appointment?

The first session is about getting to know your child and understanding what has been happening for them.

Children often open up when they feel relaxed and comfortable, so we take our time. Depending on your child's age, personality and readiness, hypnotherapy may begin during the first appointment or after trust and rapport have been established.

Parents are an important part of the process and will be involved where appropriate.

My approach

I believe every behaviour has a reason.

Rather than simply trying to stop unwanted behaviours, we work together to understand what your child is communicating beneath the surface. Using evidence-based hypnotherapy techniques alongside practical strategies, we help your child develop new ways of feeling calm, confident and capable.

Sessions are always adapted to suit your child's age, interests and personality, making them engaging, enjoyable and effective.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age do you see?

Children aged 5 years and older, as well as teenagers.

Is hypnotherapy safe for children?

Yes. Hypnotherapy is a safe, gentle and relaxing process. Children naturally use imagination every day, making them wonderful participants in therapeutic hypnosis.

Will my child be asleep or lose control?

No. Your child remains aware of what is happening throughout the session and cannot be made to do or say anything they don't want to.

Will I stay with my child?

This depends on your child's age, confidence and preferences. Younger children often benefit from having a parent nearby, while older children may feel more comfortable having part of the session independently.

How many sessions will my child need?

Every child is different. Many children experience significant improvements within two to four sessions, while more complex concerns may require additional support.
